When you have an impressive collection like that, it's not a bad thing to share with those less fortunate. Like myself. I'm working on my collection, but I'll need to get another safe if I plan to expand it much more.

Yeah, Fred, how do you expect the rest of us to follow that display? You've seen my old junkers, imagine how worse they would appear behind yours. But damn it, I love it when you do that!!!! Smile

Fred, I live in AZ.
As long as the guns are cased and the Airport is notified..everyone can bring their special ladies.

I would love to come to a RNG shoot..
Hell, all my guns are legal...I ain't afraid of the old NTSB, ATF..

You just give a date..

and Fred, you didn't comment on my REM 710..Is it because you want to verbally abuse it's glory? I know it's not the top of the line 30.06 but man it sure does work well. I get a lot of crap for that one.

Captain Vachss,
Congratulations on your promotion.

Nice collection soldier. I recommend that you don't take Major General Fred's comment about synthetics to heart, he's been giving me grief about my preference for synthetic & rubber for sometime now. He also doesn’t like it on my firearms...

Aww man.....

I ain't got squat..

Fred I would like to see some wood on your H&K, the synthetic stock looks too high tech...

Nice collection Gen. I hope to go shooting this weekend. I will post videos and pictures to the delight of all.

I await only one item from an ebay auction I won.
and then..I will almost be complete..eh, except for a Banks system for my truck.

Captain Vachss,

You should be proud of your collection and I see you favor the long guns.
Tell me about the auction item your waiting on. Long gun or handgun.

Understand, I have acquired my firearms over the past thirty-five years and very fortunate to be able to help FFL dealer friends working gun shows. It is much easier to sniff out deals and trade up.

I'm waiting on a scope for my AR, I'm giving the Aimpoint to my AK and soon a nicer scope for my SKS.
I'm really into AR pistols right now and have pretty much built (in my mind and on paper) 3 different versions. My new gun shop www.blackweaponsarmory.com has offereed to build me a nice little Ar pistol that is all Mil-Spec and Heat Ready.
But today I saw a nice XD .45 at my neighborhood gun store (Thunderstick Trading) for $535 new and a used model for $500.
BUT>>I have seen the two tone .40 cal XD and that would match pretty much everything I have now....It's a "desert tan/dark earthish" model.
I am just really undecided about which to get.
The AR pistol would be so fun and would really be a nice collection addition.
The Handgun I do really need, I only have the CZ, Beretta .25 and a Jennings .22 as my handheld armada. I had to sell my Beretta 96D a while back..SO I am really looking into either gun..the AR would be a bit more costly, and the XD I could take everywhere..
I don't know.
If I could get a nice AR pistol for about $700.00 w/o skimping too much on quality..I would definately get the AR..But the $500+ for the XD is a bit more enticing and with the extra money I can really trick it out..and buy alot of ammo..
The .357 XD is particularly interesting but unfortunately is does not come in my "Desert Tan/ Two Tone"
I would love to shoot a .357 in automatic form.

If you know of a dealer that can handle either order please contact me via PM.

There are alot of GUN SHOPPES here in Tucson, it's just the attitude and knowledge (or lack of)of some of the sales people that drive me to online gun buying.

As long as I have a gun in my hand, I control my own destiny.

I understand Captain.
Working at a gun shop doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.
You have a AR - get the XD. You can't go wrong with the Springfield XD. Currently $500 should get you a NIB with two magazines. You deserve a good quality pistol partner. Be patient and look around. Go to your local gun shows. Sunday afternoon - best time to haggle. If you buy used be sure to have them throw in a hard case.

I pick up this used XD9 a while back, haggled for 5 stainless steel mags and the case - $480.

Is that barrel ported on your XD?
General you just may have talked me into the XD ...

My dream was to get an AK and AR and then a AR pistol and a Krinkov knockoff. All in the hopes of having prime examples of each of the weapons in their "extreme" setting. I also wanted to have cooler guns than my brother or my other gun toting friends...the bastards..

MY XD (when i get it)

Yes, being a gun junkie is one addiction I never want to beat...However using the phrase "Shootin' up" doesn't sound too good..have to find a new catch phrase for being a Gun Junkie.
