Don't Mess With Us Old Farts

A farmer went out one day and picked up a new stud rooster from a neighboring farm.

The new rooster struts over to the old rooster and says, "OK you old fart, it's time for you to retire."

The old rooster replies, "Come on, surely you cannot handle ALL of these chickens. Look what it has done to me. Can't you let me have a couple of old hens?"

The young rooster says, "Beat it! Your washed up and I'm taking over."

The old rooster cocks his head and says, "I tell you what, young stud rooster. I will race you around the farmhouse. Whoever wins gets the exclusive domain over the hens and the entire chicken coop."

The young rooster laughs. "You don't stand a chance, so, to be fair, I will give you a head start."

The old rooster takes off running. About 15 seconds later the young rooster starts after him. They round the front porch of the farmhouse and the young rooster has almost completely closed the gap.

He is only 5 feet behind the graying old rooster and gaining fast. Meanwhile, The farmer is observing from his usual spot on the front porch. He sees the grey rooster squawking and running as hard as he can.

The Farmer grabs his trusty 12 gauge and fires off a single shell. - BOOM - he drops the young rooster in mid stride.

The farmer shakes his head and says, "Darn it… third GAY rooster this month."

Moral of this story? ....

Don't mess with us OLD FARTS - age, skill, wisdom, with a little treachery thrown in will always overcome youth and arrogance!
