Nice Kimber Custom. Suggest Wilson Combat magazines. I have had nothing but trouble with factory Kimber magazines and won't use them.

I use the Wilson Combat mags in my Ultra Covert II, and I love them. Never had any trouble with the factory mag, I just like the extra grip for removing the gun from the holster. Nice weapon Fred.

if you live in a wet environment be careful, Kimbers will rust faster than any other guy i've ever seen, don't know why. Wipe it down with a silicone cloth now and then and that's stopped mine(and i'm embarrassed to say) from rusting anymore.

I've seen a speck or two on my carbon steel hammer. You'd think they could use stainless steel at the price they're charging.

This is one of 500 production. 25th Anniversary Gold Match.
I've had many 1911s, but none where as accurate, out of the box, as this one.
This Kimber gets the 'TLC' it deserves.

Thanks. It for competition only. The one I trust with my life, and carry almost every day is my Colt Government Model Combat Commander chambered in .38 Super.

Thank you my friend. Good weapon care is a philosophy. Proper handling ALL the time. Through cleaning after use is just part of the sport. You shoot it, you clean it. Then a quality oiling before it's put away. Make any necessary repairs promptly. Then you know it's ready to go when you NEED it.

The .38 Super has a very flat trajectory which makes for superb accuracy and is indeed a very hot round. Tremendous muzzle flash!

I ALSO DO A MONTHLY , WEATHER I SHOT OR NOT, BUT I LIVE IN FLORIDA HUMIDITY , RUST , MY GUNS COST TO MUCH TO LET THEM GO DOWN HILL , I USE LOTS OF OIL ,ECEPT ON THE ONE IM CARRING FOR THE DAY , I WIPE IT DOWN FIRST !

A friend that lives on Longboat Key wipes his entire collection with a silicone cloth every week. The humidity ladened with the ocean salt is hazardous to any metal, especially gun metal.

I'm a couple miles from the gulf of Mexico, so I know all about it. My Kimber has seen a spec or two, but I carry it daily. I have to be careful with the oil, or I'll be wearing it on my clothes. I wonder if I can replace the Carbon Barrel and hammer with Stainless parts. Do you guys know if that's an option?
