OKAY BROWNING DELEMA IS OVER ! BROWNING BAR SAFARI , IN 308 , FIVE RND MAG, LEOPOLD 2-7 X 33 VX1 , SOME RATHER QUESTIONABLE SCOPE MNT'S , HAS ONLY ONE LITTLE SCATCH , BOLT , EJECTION IS CLEAN BLUING 99.9% GOOD 750.00 LOOKS LIKE THIS ON MY BED ROOM FLOOR Photobucket

The mounts look a little tall, but the rings are top notch. I have mounts like that on my 7400 Remington, but it's got iron sights too. The tall mounts allow you to use the iron sights or the scope. I almost bought a set of rings like that for my .308, but I couldn't get the scope I was buying to adjust for parallax. The scope was a Leupold for around 800.00, so I passed on it. Must have been a bad scope.
Looks like you got a hell of a deal on that rifle though. Nice weapon! Congratulations Fred.
