guys my friend as already bought some .38spl ammo for the .38.we know the shell is taller so is it a good idea to remove the head cut the shell to the .38 size and use it ? |

NO. Please don't modify the .38 Special ammo. It is unwise and could be dangerous. Be patient my friend. You'll find the correct ammo eventually. Remember the revolver is not a modern firearm and if it where my gun I would purchase a few boxes of S&W .38 Ctg from Norma manufacturing. They specialize in reduced loads for older firearms. i know you said he likes to try stuff cutting the 38 is not good to find the correct ammo take the gun to reputable gunsmith he shuold be able to tell you the correct ammo to use so nobody gets hurt good luck |

I have to agree with the lt. It's just a matter of a micrometer and a caliper, and maybe alittle research. Tell him not to be foolish, if just for the pistol's sake! |
