Im thinking about buying a Savage model 10 for a good deal. I would like to know how would it perform if I use it to hunt with?

Savage Arms has always had a high reputation among hunters. My dad used a .300 Savage lever action all his hunting life. The .243 would be a better cartridge if IMHO it weren't so FAST. See a review by a decent guy here:
