Although, I have always been interested in firearms, I didn't get into the hobby seriously till 2004 when I purchased a Yugoslavian Mauser from Big-5 Sporting Goods. Since then I have acquired quite a collection of military rifles. In 2006 I started purchasing pistols, something I thought I would never do. My most recent purchase is a 9mm Beretta Cougar. One advantage I think pistols have over rifles, which might explain my shift to pistols, is the ease of cleaning a pistol versus a rifle. Cleaning a Siminoff SKS is one of the worst examples that I cam think of. I look forward to reading the articles written by the other members and learning more about weapons. |
