Spectre, I have enormous gratitude of those responsible for the defeat of the Nazi global conquest and unthinkable acts committed under it's regime. I am a student of history and there is something you might be interested in learning about Field Marshall Rommel. A few days after an assassin's bomb nearly killed Hitler during a strategy meeting at his headquarters in East Prussia. Reprisals followed, some implicated the Field Marshall in the plot to assassinate good ol' Adolf. Although intelligent reports once existed that indicated that was a strong possibility, it was never proven historically that Rommel was involved with the attempt on Hitler's life, Adolf was painfully aware of Rommel's attitude about the unlikelihood of Germany's successful outcome of the war. This really pissed Adolf off and was enough to warrant Hitler's wrath. The problem for old Adolf Hitler was how to eliminate Germany's most popular Field Marshall without revealing to the German people and the rest of the world that he was ordering Rommel's death. The solution was to force Rommel to commit suicide and announce that his death was due to his wounds from a British aircraft that strafed Rommel's staff car. Yes, the Field Marshall was severely wounded, but he was recovering very well and convalescing at his home, when two German S.S. Officers put him into a car. The car sped away then halted a few hundred yards from his house. The Field Marshall was dead. It was learned later, that Gestapo had instructions to storm the house if the Field Marshall offered any resistance. The man, Erwin Rommel was a great strategist and tactical genius. His ability to inspire his troops was outstanding. Fortunately for you, I and the free world, our Allies and U.S. Servicemen had better resources.
