Fred, I am pure muscle and steel, nothing hurts me...except for the five rounds I have shot out of it..
It's like a good "Charlie Horse" from a brother or angry demented sister..

No matter how far you lean into it and how tight you hold it..your legs may not move but your upper body swings in the recoil like a bobble head..

Nah..not really that bad, but you do need a good stock, I have my Mossberg 500A Stock on there. It has a little cushion but you just need to be able to absorb a freakin lod guns report..loud..

Have one similar,blued with walnut stock 36 inch long tom.Shoot goose into next week.
