You cannot "turn" a SKS into an "assault weapon".

The SKS is semi-automatic, which denotes that it will never really be a true "assault weapon" simply because it does not fire full auto.

You can "hop up" your SKS to look like a "assault style weapon" but its profile is so well known that you would have to get a bull pup stock to make it indistinguishable to true gun lovers.

As far as "tack driving" goes, you can put any scope you want on the SKS and it will pretty much do the job..as long as your model isn't a paratrooper w/ the short barrel..or have the grenade attachment on it..
