i don't have much experience with ar 15 carbines.what are some of the things that can cause the spent shell to jam in the barrel of the ar15 after the round is fired

bad or no gas flow, brocken extractor, damaged round, all these can stop the shell from extracting.

i think i'll go with the bad or no gas flow because the extractor is ok and i don't think it's the rounds because it happens so often thanks major

this one i can help with, a gas port or flow problem is your most likly cause after extractor failure they do have a habbit of bending the pulling face of the extractor and is very hard to see check it with a VERY good straight edge or get your armourer to check it for you a back yard gunsmith may not have the right gear good as they might be no disrespect but a trained armourer is best with these types of weapons. hope this has helped if you need more help will be glad to have a yarn and try to nut out other options
