Generaly considered an assault rifle. It's fires a rifle round. Subguns generaly fire pistol ammo. But it's all perception i guess. |

having used one for a short time I am no expert but was always led to beleave they were an assult rifle but I may be mistaken hope this has been of use |

Assault rifle definetley, but there are some countries that consider it a Sub machine gun due to it's short size. "We deal in Lead, friend." Steve Mcqueen from the Magnificent Seven. |

AK-47 (AVTOMAT KALASHNIKOVA MODEL OF 1947) PROBABLY CLASSIFIED AS AN ASSAULT RIFLE BECAUSE OF IT'S CAPABILITY OF SELECTIVE FIRE AND IT FIRES A RIFLE CARTRIDGE AT A VERY HIGH MUZZLE VELOCITY.... |
