I am Dave from West Texas. I am interested in many types of firearms. Mainly military rifles and conceal and carry handguns. I am interested in gunsmithing and refurbishing old firearms.

I am currently trying to refurbish a old S&W model 3 double action. The flat spring that holds cylinder in place is broke. I am open for any ideas or info on how to fix or find a replacement part. Any help would be great.

Welcome David, as a gun enthusiast I just like to hear of other people's interests. I am not a qualified gunsmith at this time but am learning the craft very slowly from others. What an education this is, wouldn't you agree. To have the honor to tear down and examine so many weapons and then fix them is great. avp recommended a web site cheaperthandirt.com which a good spot for unique parts and supplys, but, I would also add midwayusa.com which carry thousands of items found no where else. My new conceal carry hand gun is a Kimber Pro Carry II 45 ACP. This 1911 short barrel frame is a dream to shoot and comfortable to carry in a pancake holster. Good luck in your search for interests.
