I presume you mean handguns? So much depends upon your sister. I would advise the largest caliber that she is comfortable with in some form of semi-automatic. And I would advise going to a pistol range that rents out guns for use on their range. If you express interest in buying from the range, they will often allow you to fire a number of guns that they stock or can order for you, all for a single rental fee. Good luck. Cog is right, let here get a feeling for some of the guns and figure out what works best for her, theres a wide selection of guns for a reason, why not make good use of that selection? |

You have already received some good advise, as most ranges have a supply of just about every hand gun that has been made. But, as far as a very small gun that holds 6 rounds in the clip and can be tucked away very easily is a Kel Tech .380. My wife has one for her purse and I also have one as a back up gun to my 9 mm and carry it in my front pocket. But, as has aleady been advised, make sure it is small and light and the Kel Tech is just that. There are several 380's and 32's that are very small and light to carry. But, of course you have a trade off when you go very small, that is stopping power. Even though she may be able to handle several larger guns, she also has to think about where she is going to carry this gun and that will be the foremost question on her mind. Good gun hunting |

Easy for a lady to use cause she doen't have to pull the slide back to load it. "better to have one even if you don't need it |
