Just wondering how many ppl heard of him. He is the first Marine since Vietnam to earn the medal of honor. I am proud to say that I knew him and I will be going to his cermony in D.C. If you want to know more read the book "Gift of Valor". Give me some feed back. |

Yes I have, He was the Squad leader of Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, Seventh Marines, He sacraficed himself to save his brothers in arms by placing his helmet and himself on the Hand Grenade when it blew and killed him but his the other marines around him survived the explotion because of him, He was and still is One hell of a Marine, He deserves the M.O.H |

Served in the same theater, I knew of him but never had the honor of knowing him. He does deserve the M.O.H. And may he rest in peace because he already served in hell. JD |

I saw the story about him in marine corps times(I work in the plant where they print it). It is always a shame to loose a brother, but if any man should get the honor of the M.O.H its him |
